Boise Cascade Holdings has reported a net loss of C$9.9m for the second quarter ended 30 June 2011, compared to net profits of C$4.4m for the same period of 2010.
The company has announced net sales of C$589.4m for the second quarter of 2011, compared to C$651.4m for the same period of 2010. It recorded a C$5.4m loss from operations for the quarter ended on 30 June 2011, compared to income of C$10.5m for the corresponding period of 2010.
Boise also reported a net loss of C$28.8m for the first half ended 30 June 2011, compared to net profits of C$15.7m for the same period of 2010.
Year-to-date net sales were C$1.07bn, compared to C$1.13bn for the first half ended June 30, 2010. Boise Cascade has reported a loss from operations of C$20.1m for the first six months of 2011, compared to operations income of C$20m for the corresponding period of 2010.
