Boise Cascade has consolidated all its UK operations onto one site by moving its administration support staff from Amersham to Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire.
Sales manager Simon Jones said having all key staff under one roof simplified communication, while the central location of Upper Heyford, a former US Air Force base where F-111 bombers were stationed during the Cold War, was ideal for servicing customer needs across the UK.
Boise created a 200,000ft2 distribution facility at the site last year for its range of engineered wood products including BCI Joists, Versa-Lam beams and Versa-Strand rim material. It says the flat concrete areas, previously used for aircraft, are perfect safe storage for its very long (up to 14.63m) products.
