Boise has approved Cullen Building Products‘ I-Clip for use with its Simple Framing System.
The I-Clip, designed to fasten multi-ply I-joists together so they can function as a single unit, is formed of 1.5mm galvanised steel and replaces the need for “filler blocks”.
Upper Heyford-based Boise said blocks are often omitted on site, while site inspectors find it difficult to determine whether they have been installed.
Boise sales director Simon Jones said the I-Clip speeds up construction using the Simple Framing System and ensures the integrity and safety of the build process.
