Boen Traffic engineered flooring has been installed in an oriental spa at Seaham Hall Hotel, County Durham.
The 1,300m2 of 12mm thick, factory finished one-strip merbau flooring was laid at the Serenity Spa by Newcastle-based Stenhouse Flooring. It features a one-ply construction with a 6mm solid, single stave hardwood wear surface.
It was specified to meet the aesthetic requirement of a traditional timber floor finish, a heavy pedestrian performance and full compatibility with underfloor heating, which was necessary because Feng Shui design principles did not permit the use of radiators.
