A replica of an Anglo-Saxon oak dug-out boat has been created at the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum, Chichester.
Damian Goodburn, ancient woodwork specialist at the Museum of London, led the project. The finished result is now moored on the millpond of Lurgashall Mill at the museum. The oak log was donated by Leconfield Estate.
