Former Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee member Dr Andrew Sentence will be one of the speakers at the Builders Merchants Federation Members’ Day.
Dr Sentence will take a no-nonsense look at how the recovery is shaping up and what the shape of the recovery means for the merchanting industry in the short and long term.
Another top speaker at the September 20 event is David Purdy, of the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC).
Mr Purdy, head of insulation and delivery in DECC’s energy efficiency and consumers directorate, will update merchants on the Green Deal and discuss forthcoming rules and regulations affecting merchants and their customers.
The Members’ Day, which takes place at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel in Warwickshire, also includes supplier liaison meetings (with a timber and roofing session) and a supplier exhibition.
