BM TRADA Certification Ltd has appointed Robin Kitzinger as client manager in Scotland, based near Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire. He will cover the range of certification products offered by the company.
Formerly environmental, health and safety manager with BSW Timber in Carlisle, Mr Kitzinger has a comprehensive background in quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management within the paper and timber industries, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification, as well as FSC / PEFC chain of custody systems.
Educated in England and Germany, and speaking fluent English, German and French, he graduated from Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, Baden-Wuerttemberg, with first-class honours degree in process and environmental engineering. He was awarded the BASF Magnetics prize for his diploma thesis, a feasibility study on erecting an incinerator for contaminated waste wood.
Since joining BM TRADA, Mr Kitzinger has undertaken visual timber strength grading and ISO 9001 lead auditor courses.
