Firefighters spent two hours fighting a blaze at a timber yard near Hastings last Friday.
The fire at Stamco Timber’s St Leonards site caused the area to be evacuated, but no-one was injured. The value of damage and the cause of the fire have yet to be determined.
East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said six engines were sent to tackle the fire and firefighters used specialist breathing apparatus, foam and an extendable platform to bring the fire under control.
A spokesperson at the company said operations at the yard had continued unaffected after the fire.
