The large detached house is built from natural stone, which made fitting windows and doors challenging. One of the issues that Stonebridge Homes had to overcome on this project was the imprecise coursing across a number of the masonry units. The irregular nature of the coursing meant that the developers needed a window and door supplier who could produce bespoke units that fitted directly into the natural stone.

“Much of the stone masonry used across the home was uneven and as a result it was difficult to marry the coursing on the stone with the imperial sizing of the windows,” said a Stonebridge Homes spokesperson.

“When it came to specifying window units we needed a supplier with real expertise and technical know-how about the intricacies of working with natural stone. We found that with Black Millwork and they were on hand to help us every step of the way.”

Black Millwork supplied a range of products including Andersen A-Series sash windows, Andersen A-Series panel patio doors and a range of composite entry doors to the project.
