Finland – a leader in using renewable energy sources – is hosting an international bioenergy in wood industry conference and exhibition at the Jyväskylä fair and congress centre on September 12-15.

Conference chairman Professor Dan Asplund said the conference would focus on factors affecting the future of the bioenergy opportunities in fuel production and heating and power production in the wood industry. Topics include timber felling wood residues as fuel, industrial by-products as biofuel, by-product refining to pellets and their use for heating and power production in the wood industry.

Technical tours will be held after the conference.
