Family-owned furniture components manufacturer and supplier BHK (UK) Ltd has been awarded Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification from BM TRADA Certification Ltd.
Durham-based BHK manufactures more than one million flat-packed drawers a month, each of which will now carry the FSC logo.
BHK UK works director Jim Cunningham said he is glad the industry has matured to the point where forest conservation is seen as an essential part of business practice. He added: “I hope all manufacturers and customers of timber products will follow suit.”
