The company said third quarter profit to the end of May excluding interest, tax and depreciation was SKr10.7m, following a previous profit of SKr600,000 and several years of losses.
Net sales were SKr202.5m, compared with SKr197.5m, and operating income was SKr3m, compared with a loss of SKr16.6m. Profit after exceptional items was SKr1.3m, compared with a loss of SKr19.3m.
The company said production at its sawmills had been good during the three months to May after earlier shortages of raw material, amounting to 67,000m3, 10% higher than the same period a year before. The treated volume of wood also rose by 25%, which was a contributing factor to the financial improvement, Bergs said.
