Monarch Roofing is one of 12 companies already signed up to the alliance which has been created by Swindon and Oxford-based building contractor Beard. Each company has signed a charter and pledged to “work together efficiently to deliver value to customers”.
Beard plans to expand the scheme until it represents almost every construction trade. “We believe that teamwork up and down the supply chain is crucial to delivering the value for money, high quality and consistent performance that our customers are looking for,” said John Youle, construction director at Beard Oxford.
The alliance is the result of a year-long teambuilding process between Beard and its key suppliers who attended a series of workshops to identify ways the supply chain operates.
