The British Coatings Federation (BCF) has appointed Tony Mash to the position of chief executive officer. He takes over from Moira McMillan who is retiring after 19 years with the Federation.

Mr Mash, who has a chemistry degree from University College London and an MBA in Finance from Manchester Business School, has over 30 years’ experience working in the chemical industries arena, holding senior positions in commodity and speciality sectors, both in the UK and overseas.

Commenting on his new appointment, he stressed his determination to support BCF members and their industry; “In these difficult economic times there is a growing call to improve the competitiveness of UK manufacturing and I foresee an increased role for BCF in developing a vigorous campaign to promote the industry as a whole.”

Mr Mash will be based at the BCF’s new offices in Leatherhead, UK.
