Don Wright, the province’s former deputy forests minister, and Bill Dumont, a past chief forester with Western Forest Products, will conduct the review.
They will look at the principles of log exports from private and Crown lands and their effect on harvesting, log markets, workers, communities and the forest products industry.
Provincial forests minister Rich Coleman said the review was not designed to facilitate the export of rawlogs into the US for processing.
