Presenter Nik Wood interviewed CR Taylor (Timber) Ltd managing director Russell Tallant at the company’s Denholme site.

“The interview focused on the prevailing market conditions within the timber industry involving increased costs, supply issues and increased demand from an ever-hungry construction sector looking for reliable and sustainable solutions,” said Mr Tallant.

“These are difficult times and the industry is struggling to keep pace with demand. However, firms with diverse and comprehensive supply channels such as ourselves will thrive.”

CR Taylor also formed part of a profile focusing on the use of engineered timber products at a property in Sutton-in-Craven, where Skipton-based structural insulated panel building supplier SIPS@Clays also featured.

“The interview focused on the green credentials of the structurally insulated panel buildings we provide with their high levels of insulation and low air leakage requiring minimal heating and dramatically reducing carbon emissions,” said Andy Porter, a partner at SIPS@Clays.
