A distance learning course in forest industries technology will be launched by the School of Agriculture and Forest Sciences, University of Wales, Bangor in September.

The course will cover all aspects of the forest products sector, including harvesting, marketing, wood processing, wood products and non-wood forest products.

The course will consist of six core modules each worth 20 CAT (credit accumulation transfer) points, followed by a dissertation.

Candidates can take the course over three, four or five years. Each module lasts three months and includes a weekend workshop with seminar presentations.
