In just 14 months, turnover at Leeds-based panel processor VC Industries (VCi) has rocketed from zero to £3m – an achievement recognised at the recent Excellence Yorkshire Awards Dinner.
The company was presented with a Commitment to Excellence award in recognition of the way it has developed its organisation and raised the company profile.
All aspects of the company’s management structure and manufacturing processes were reviewed against the European Foundation for Quality Management Business Excellence model.
VCi director Pauline Vernon said: “We realise as a new company we still have a long way to go in developing our management systems but this award shows we are making steps in the right direction.”
