Forests New South Wales and consultants URS Forestry have released the 2004 Timber Market Survey.
The report, which provides information on timber prices in eastern Australia, includes details of national and state economic conditions and construction activity.
It also features timber product supply/quality issues, forecasts and analysis of price movements, plus domestic market conditions for sawn timber, panels and engineered wood products.
Data has been drawn from interviews with timber traders in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania.
