The Australian government is spending an extra A$3.4m to help promote the fast expanding plantation timber industry.
Ian Macdonald, forestry minister, said the money will be given to 21 private forestry development committees across the country during the next two years.
Five forestry groups in Western Australia will benefit. They are in Bunbury, Albany, Esperance and parts of the mid-west.
