Formerly the FSC Accreditation Unit, the ASI is now an independent body. It says the audit process is standard to check the performance of the certification organisations in the field.
The first surveillance will be of the SGS certification of Barama Co Ltd of Guyana.
This will be followed by an audit of the certification programme being undertaken by ICILA on SEFAC concessions in the Libongo area of south-east Cameroon.
