The 2008 Australian Timber Flooring Association (ATFA) Convention is to take place in Melbourne on October 9-10.
The event, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, will see a range of firms from the flooring and related industries exhibiting, including mouldings manufacturers, forestry and timber companies, specialist tool suppliers and flooring distributors and suppliers.
ATFA will also stage its second National Conference hand-in-hand with the exhibition, looking at a range of issues from installing and completing timber floors and the latest developments in the coatings and finishes markets, to the use of certified products and the performance and maintenance of wooden floors.
Further to the conference and exhibition, ATFA will host its annual Awards for Excellence and 2008 Australian Timber Floor of the Year competitions.
This includes the Apprentice/Trainee of the Year, Employee of the Year, Contractor of the Year and Outstanding Service to the Industry categories, as well as the Australian Timber Floor of the Year award that provide tradespeople with recognition for their work.
