The amalgamation will include nine major timber processing companies, representing 80% of UK-grown timber processing capacity. Some of these sawmillers have left the UK Forest Products Association (UKFPA), which rejected a merger with ConFor in February, while others have decided to hold dual membership of both UKFPA and ConFor.
