Arnold Laver Timber World is working with Leeds-based developer LNT Construction which plans to build 10 care homes a year over the next five years.

Arnold Laver will supply timber for the 14m span roof trusses for the homes currently under development by LNT.

A recently completed care home in Sheffield has 80 rooms, and further homes are currently being developed in Darlington, Keighley, Catterick, Blackpool and Lancashire.

Arnold Laver sales representative Toni Witeszczak said: “This is a huge project for us and we are pleased to be working with LNT Construction. Building care homes is important for communities all across the country and we hope this will be beneficial for thousands of people.”

LNT Construction has stepped up its nursing home initiative and seen rapid growth during the past 18 months.

LNT Construction managing director Angus Houliston said the new care home in Sheffield was a prime example of what the company is trying to achieve. “The old home was in need of a complete redevelopment to satisfy modern standards. After demolishing the old facility, we now have a home which provides quality care in a top quality building.”
