Timber decking business Arbordeck is looking to double sales to £4m during its second year of operation.
The venture, spun off from Howarth Timber Group Ltd last March, has achieved sales of £2m since its launch.
Terry Blackwood, business manager for decking at Howarth, said: ‘Our first year has been very successful with sales of around £2m and we are looking to double that this year in line with a steadily increasing list of stockists.’
Howarth, which machines the decking from Russian redwood at New Holland, has 120 Arbordeck timber merchant and installer stockists, all of which it trains at its New Holland site. It plans to increase that to 250 or 300 by appointing to areas where it is under-represented such as the south-west, the south-east and Scotland.
