Arbor Forest Products has received its first shipment of structural carcassing from Holmen’s recently opened Braviken spruce sawmill.
Arbor, which received the cargo at New Holland Dock, now sees real potential for business to develop further.
“To see this quality of product at such an early stage from Sweden’s biggest sawmill is a very rewarding moment,” said Andrew Nichols, managing director of Holmen Martinsons Timber Ltd.
Arbor already purchases more than 35,000m³ of joinery redwood from Holmen’s total 890,000m³ annual output.
The Braviken sawmill has been operational since January and was formally inaugurated in May.
