Independent timber merchant Alsford Timber has achieved the ISO 9001:2000 standard, covering sales of doors and glazed apertures.

The award, gained through BM TRADA Certification, has enabled the company to join the British Woodworking Federation‘s (BWF) Certifire scheme.

John Griffiths, Alsford managing director, said: “We believe that the control of fire doors will be considerably improved upon in the future. The achievement of ISO 9001:2000 has allowed us to offer the BWF service for providing apertures and glazing to BWF approved fire doors.”
