Robert Scott has been appointed managing director of home-grown sawmiller and timber merchant A&J Scott Ltd, a family-run business established in 1960 by the late Andy Scott of Wooperton, Northumberland.
Robert succeeds Andrew Scott, who is now the chairman.
“The role of home-grown timber is now more important than ever. I intend to build on this by way of the versatile production facilities we have, with the emphasis on quality and service,” said Robert Scott.
