Softwood trade over the next five years will be the topic tackled by agent Guy Bewick at the next meeting of the London Softwood Club.

Mr Bewick, of Pacific Lumber Services (UK) Ltd, will look at current supply trends and how they are moving towards a more engineered timber product and whether the UK trade is in a position to take advantage of this.

Mr Bewick previously worked for Price & Pierce, Eacom and Gordon Watts before teaming up again with Brian Houghton and Geoff Boxall at Pacific Lumber Services in 1997, where his main activity has been sales of softwood from all supplying regions.

The meeting will take place at the Charing Cross Hotel on February 18. Tickets cost £35.
