Around 200 collectors were able to see a variety of beautifully restored vehicles including cars, tractors, flat bed trucks and steam engines and enjoy an evening which included the chance to swap stories of restoration projects as well as rides on a 1905 Aveling and Porter steam roller.

One of the stars of the show was the Foden truck bought by John ‘Jack’ Evans, the father of the current owners of the sawmill. The truck was ordered in 1945 and delivered in 1947 when Jack came out of the army. It was Jack and his sons who bought Ransfords in 1978. His grandson and great-grandsons have restored several vehicles from the early days of the business. The evening raised over £850 for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
