A 38-tonne tree spade is to be used to move the 11 trees, which will be replanted in a copse formation in order to preserve the natural landscape of the park.
Each of the trees has a girth in excess of one metre, meaning that UPM Tilhill, the firm responsible for the work, is using one of only two tree spades in Europe large enough to cope with the size of the project.
