The first training award for the woodworking industry, set up by the Woodworking Machinery Suppliers Association (WMSA), has attracted entries from 25 colleges and institutes of higher education nationwide.
The WMSA Cutting Edge Award for Wood Machine Training offers a £30,000 prize.
Entries, which must be in by the end of July 2002, must show an overall improvement and future investment within woodworking training and technology.
