Scottish Enterprise‘s director of forest industries Cedric Wilkins has been made an honorary fellow of the Institute of Chartered Foresters.
Mr Wilkins was presented with the prestigious award by the president of the Institute of Chartered Foresters, Wilma Harper, at the recent Scottish Forest Industries Cluster Conference. He is one of only nine honorary fellows in the Institute.
In welcoming him, Ms Harper said: “His energy and drive have made a significant contribution to the current renaissance of forestry and forest-based industries in Scotland through the Scottish Forest Industries Cluster, and indeed the influence of his work is being felt in Wales and in England as each nation moves to establish its own version of a forestry cluster.”
