Martin West has joined Stewart Milne Timber Systems (SMTS) to take full responsibility for all production, planning, procurement and logistics operations at the company’s Witney base.
Mr West was previously head of manufacturing at Cadbury Schweppes’ three production plants in Ireland and two in England, processing £450m of confectionery products and responsible for 1,200 people.
Managing director Stewart Dalgarno said: “Martin brings a strong engineering and production background and is used to operating at the highest management levels; he has 20 years’ experience and is a significant appointment for a company like ours. His abilities are already impacting with record outputs achieved in his first two months.”
