Weinig has adapted its Unimat 23 into a dedicated sawing machine to meet numerous applications for accurate, high quality and efficient sawing.
It is designed for a variety of products including flooring, shutter blanks, veneers for rail and stiles, furniture components, wine crates and pencils.
The Unimat 23 saws material horizontally using thin blades on two closely spaced vertical spindles. It has a working width of 20-230mm and 3-90mm working height, with both spindles having a 37kW motor and generating feed speeds of up to 80m/min.
Weinig says the use of multiple blades increases linear output, while their close spacing on the spindles makes it possible to produce very thin slats or veneers.
