The Hereford company previously made 700 cabinets a week with a beam saw for panel sizing. Owners Annie and Simon Bolt now operate out of smaller premises specialising in private work and supplying a small number of up-market kitchen retailers.
The Striebig Control is used for all panel cutting from 18-30mm thick. It was supplied with three blades and its scoring saw ensures a chip-free finish.
Mr Bolt said: “There was no way we could have fitted our beam saw into the new premises. I suppose I could have gone for a much cheaper make, but I wanted a well-built saw that was reliable, would last me a long time and still fetch a good price when I came to sell it.”
