The new Standard TRK2 comes in nine frame sizes, handling panels up to 5300x2240mm. The upgrades include power supply via a flexible chain duct for improved safety and a moving support frame with a new “optimised bearing system” giving smoother action and, said TM, better reliability.

The saw uses a fourth generation digital measuring system, pneumatically braking support rollers, and a small workpiece support running the length of the machine.

These upgrade features are also applied to the Standard TRK 1 which, similarly, guarantees dust limits “well below” 1mg/m3. This machine can also be supplied with an improved dust extraction system, targeted particularly at retail users.

TM Machinery also used W6 to highlight the benefits of the recent improvements at its Leicester base.

“We’ve got more room for machines, spare parts, demonstrations and servicing,” said TM’s Matt Pearce. “We can now refurbish three or four saws simultaneously.”

TM said it picked up a number of strong leads at W6, some in the non wood-based sectors. It also secured several sales, including a Striebig Evolution model to a sign manufacturer.
