Jackson Building Centres has added a Combilift multi-directional forklift to its fleet.

The four-tonne capacity machine replaces a combination of forklifts previously used in the heavyside section of Jackson’s main distribution centre in Lincoln.

The company has timber sales of around £10m a year and the Combilift handles the massive volume of timber distributed to the independent’s 17 branches around the Midlands.

Jackson chose the Combilift for its versatility. Compared with the old four-way trucks it moves well in the yard and can negotiate narrow aisles in the warehouse.
