Leeds-based panel processor VC Industries Ltd (VCi) has invested about £200,000 improving its edging and sawing capacity.
The company has bought three second-hand machines – an IMA Combima double-sided edger, a single-sided IMA and a Mazza beam saw.
The double-sider is a first and second pass machine for 0.4mm to 3mm ABS/ PVC or PP tape.
VCi said the IMA’s automatic panel and glue-feeding capabilities will increase production efficiency and ensure rapid PVC changeover.
The company’s factory now boasts four double-sided edgers and two single-siders.
