Steve Farnworth has been appointed district manager for UPM Tilhill‘s Central Scotland district. He takes over from Vaughan Hammond who retired as at the end of 2006 after 34 years in the post.
Mr Farnworth joined Tilhill in 1985 and within four years achieved the role of regional manager for Tilhill Landscaping in Yorkshire. After six years with other leading landscaping companies he returned to Tilhill six years ago as senior contracts manager for the company’s Central Scotland district.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Farnworth said: ““Vaughan will be a hard act to follow, he has done a tremendous job for UPM Tilhill over many years. My aim now is to see the business continue to grow and diversify.”
