The first thing you noticed approaching the NEC for W6 was a purple and orange hot air balloon.

It was software specialist Joinerysoft‘s high profile way of letting the industry know it had arrived.

Formerly Kimveda, the company rebranded earlier this year to create a closer association with its product and customer base and as part of an assertive new marketing programme. “We’re aiming to be the Microsoft of our sector!” said director Alan Turner.

Joinerysoft’s systems are aimed at joiners of all sizes and include products for casement and sliding sash windows, doors and doorsets. Product designs are keyed in and can be instantly adapted on screen to create cutting lists and quotations for customers.

Latest modules to be launched are JMS Screens for creating glazed wood screens and JMSBOM, a bill of materials package.

“Very shortly we will also be bringing out a 3D stair module,” said Mr Turner. “We expect this to be very popular, both with new clients and our existing customers – 99.9% of companies using our systems have all the modules.”

Joinerysoft systems are now used by 200 joiners and, having done 200 demonstrations at W6, the company is now recruiting four more staff to its 21-strong workforce to cope with demand.
