Unsworth Joinery has added a Löwer RotoMaster heavy brush sanding machine to its factory floor to impove finish quality for customers including Manchester United and the NHS.
The Manchester-based company needed high quality sanding equipment for production of joinery including veneered doors and doorsets, reception desks, nurses’ workstations, changing room lockers, cubicle washroom systems and boardroom fitted furniture and panelling.
The 4B 4-spindle throughfeed RotoMaster, supplied by Abacon, features the Slipcon system which comprises brush-backed abrasive strips mounted onto “spines” or “combs”.
Unsworth is using it for both pre-sanding and denibbing. It says benefits include faster throughput, the need for only one operator and a saving of up to 50% in finishing materials.
