Travis Perkins staff, customers and suppliers raised more than £327,000 in 2004 for the company’s two nominated charities, the NSPCC and Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Group HR director and chairman of the Travis Perkins Staff Charities Committee Rob Tansey said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who organised events and donated monies and raffle items. Their efforts and commitment have achieved this magnificent total.”
Staff, suppliers and trade customers took part in a variety of different fund-raising activities throughout the year and across the entire Travis Perkins group of 755 branches. The events included fancy dress, sponsored walks and climbs, dinner dances, golf days, raffles, head shaving and car washing.
Travis Perkins has committed itself to the same two charities for its fund-raising activities in 2005.
