Around 12,000 visitors are expected at the inaugural Z-mac furniture and wood industry machinery show in Madrid.

The event, taking place alongside ZOW Madrid, is intended as an opportunity for machinery manufacturers and distributors to develop business relationships and engage with the market, “not in order to flaunt their wares” according to organiser Survey Marketing + Consulting.

Around 60% of the exhibition space has been booked added Survey, with Homag-Schuler, Schmalz, Giardina Officine and Holzbearbeitungssysteme among those supporting the show.

“It’s no longer a question of showing your customers that you know how to make a good machine – they already know that – but to prove to them that you are a good fellow traveller,” said Z-mac director André Baken.

“In this respect, Z-mac does not compete with big international trade fair events which have other objectives to fulfil as regards representation, image and positioning against competitors. Z-mac’s aim in Spain is to become a companion to all those companies and entrepreneurs who wish to establish a constructive dialogue with their customers.”

Z-mac and ZOW Madrid will take place at IFEMA in Madrid on June 10-13.
