The company, the UK agent for Swiss vertical panel saw specialist Striebig, has extended its building at Oadby to include a showroom for the first time. A demonstration area has also been added, as well as providing more space for stockholding, spare parts and refurbishment work.

TM Group managing director Tony Morris, who started the business in 1984, said the expansion had doubled the useable height within the workshop.

“This will allow us to store up to 15 new Striebig saws, mainly the very popular Compact model, which means we can offer an even faster delivery time to our customers,” he said.

Mr Morris said the increased floor space would allow up to four vertical panel saws, or larger numbers of smaller machines, to be refurbished at any one time. Available space for spare parts has also grown.

The new demonstration area has been built on a mezzanine level and houses a Striebig compact saw and an Al-ko mobile dust extraction unit, with desk space for customers to discuss their requirements with TM staff.

TM also supplies wide-belt sanders and dust extraction equipment, as well as operating a nationwide service business for all types of woodworking machinery.
