Timbmet was not just showing new products at the Interbuild Timber Zone. It was also giving its new corporate livery and logo its first major exhibition airing.

The new-look corporate image colours are earth-brown and leaf-green, highlighting timber’s natural appeal and Timbmet’s environmental performance commitment. At the same time the new stylised tree logo and motto “Everything wood should be” focus customer attention on the new, highly technically specified engineered products which the company is now marketing alongside its core timber offer.

“This business is not just about selling wood,” said group commercial director Jeremy Bristoe. “It’s about sourcing with intelligence and supplying the product in the right format for the customer and the market.”

The focus on the stand was on the growing Timbmet TEC range products, engineered components for windows, doors and other joinery being marketed to manufacturers UK-wide.

These include the Longlife range of window profiles, based on a variety of multi-layer laminates from Holz Schiller of Germany, with six window makers using the profiles so far.

Timbmet also showed its Passive Door Blank range which integrate CFC-free foam insulation and a stabilising thermal break in an MDF or timber outer layer giving a U-value of 0.8.
