TRADA Technology Ltd has updated its wood information sheet relating to timber preservation.

The revised version of “Wood preservation – chemicals and processes” takes into account the steady drive towards replacing older preservatives with effective substitutes which can deliver the levels of safety and environmental protection demanded today.

It outlines three main types of treatment – water-borne preservatives, micro-emulsions and organic solvent-based preservatives.

TRADA members and registered users can view the sheet in the library section of the askTRADA website.
