A section dedicated to timber and board suppliers is to be included in the W6 ‘Working with Wood’ exhibition in response to demand from raw material suppliers.

The organisers said it forms part of the planned evolution of the Woodmex machinery show to cover the full spectrum of timber processing.

John Smith-Bodden, chief executive of the Woodworking Machinery Suppliers Association (WMSA), said: “The well-established visitor base to the exhibition is predominantly buyers from the joinery and furniture trades – and they simply want to see more under one roof.”

Working with Wood can assist companies unfamiliar with exhibiting and also offers free use of the WMSA’s Grantfinder service which highlights fund-raising opportunities for potential exhibitors.

Places at Working with Wood, which takes place at the NEC Birmingham on October 8-11 2006, can now be booked.
