Careful navigation was required when Dustraction, UK supplier of waste extraction equipment, craned one of its latest Cattinair 4X7 cyclo-filters into a tight space at a factory near Cambridge.

Dufaylite, which pioneered the paper honeycomb used in a number of panel products, produces construction, packaging and exhibition display products.

Its former extraction plant was damaged in a fire and it selected a Cattinair system because, apart from needing little maintenance, it can operate continuously – 24 hours a day if required.

Another asset was Cattinair’s ability to fit into a comparatively small area while providing appreciably higher volume extraction – 40,000 cfm – than the previous plant.

Cattinair hi-tech filtration also ensures that the filtered air contains less than 0.2mg of dust per cubic metre, well within the regulatory limits and suitable for recycling in a working environment.
