The TTJ Awards on September 9 drew a record audience of over 300 people from across the UK timber trade – plus a number of guests from abroad. The energetic host and guest speaker PY Gerbeau gave the event at The Savoy in London a touch of Gallic flair and the winners were presented with striking trophies commissioned by the American Hardwood Export Council from sculptor Ray Winder. The top prize of all, the Timber Trader of the Year Award, went to James Latham plc, while the winner of the inaugural Best Technical Information Support Award was Eleco plc
